I already logged in on the other page where I add/edit my link. How come it’s not working here?

Each of the services we provide, banner exchanges and classified ads, are run separately. This means if you want to use both you need to register for both. Your username and password can be the same for each, if they are available, but you will have to login for each service independently.

Who can advertise on the Banner Exchange?

If your website is art, craft or handmade related you can advertise with us. If you have a blog, sell art or craft supplies, have an online shop, FaceBook or MySpace page you can add yourself to our network. If you can’t add HTML code to your online shop you may want to check out our advertising options. Sorry, we only accept art or craft websites and we reject all others. To ensure this we check each and every website and banner submitted to this banner exchange program!

What size banners does the banner exchange program accept?

Banners should be 468x60 pixels, in gif or jpg format, and would prefer no larger than 15k file size. Animated gif banners are acceptable on our banner network.
We do not offer any other size of banners at this time.

When will my banner start showing?

We will review your website and banner usually within 48 hours of joining our banner exchange program. Once approved, your banner will appear at random throughout our banner network. Even before your banner is approved, as long as our code is on your webpage(s) you will earn credits for each view on your website. These will be used once your banner is approved.

Why must I wait until I’m approved for my banner to show? Why not right away?

We want to make sure that only art, craft and handmade websites use this service. We also want to make sure that the banners shown on our ad network are family friendly and don‘t contain any inappropriate content.

Where can I host my banner?

You can have your banner hosted anywhere you like, though we don’t host banners on our server. That’s why you can’t upload them. You can upload photos to any photo hosting service or your own website. Any website that allows you to upload photos like Facebook, MySpace, etc. can be your banner host.

How do I find the URL of my banner?

Go to page where banner is hosted
RIGHT click on the banner. A drop down list will appear.
At the bottom of the list you’ll see PROPERTIES. LEFT click on this
You’ll see Address:(URL) With something like this http://somewebsite.com/somefolder/somepicture.jpg
Highlight and copy the entire bit of code.
Paste this code into the Banner URL spot in the form.
You can change your banner at any time by logging in to your account and following the same steps.

What format does the banner have to be in?

We only accept gif and jpg formats. Animated banners are okay but try to keep the banners less than 15K.

How do I create my banner?

An easy way is to search for the phrase banner generator in any search engine. Also, all photo editing software will let you create a banner.

I can’t add the banner code to my website but I still want to advertise. Is there any way I can?

First, create your account with your banner, URL of your website, and to gain the free ad display credit.
Next, contact us through our email contact@freecraftylinks.com. Tell us your username and how many ad views you would like to purchase. We will send you an invoice through PayPal. Once your payment is received we will credit your account. You will be able to see them in your statistics in your unused credits. We will also contact you to let you know your account has been credited.
